About Shear Elegance

In early 2018, Joyce and Christine began planning the opening of their home furnishings shop in West Mersea near Colchester, Essex. Having considered their combined skills and experiences, they quickly realised that they could provide a first-class service making curtains, both lined and interlined, and hand-sewn, as well as cushions and blinds. Their aim is to provide a cost-effective, prompt, courteous and quality delivery on all orders, while also being on-hand to provide advice.

They soon identified the opportunity to repair much loved items of furniture, such as footstools, couches, chairs and some larger items including settees.

To complement their services, small gifts ranging from beautiful mirrors and quality lamps to soft toys are available to accompany your furnishings.

Curtains

View and choose from our wide range of fabrics. Curtains are available both lined or interlined, and are hand-sewn. We stock and can quickly obtain many designs of tassles, tie-backs and tracks. We are pleased to work from your measurements, or to come to your home and measure for you.

Blinds

Here at Shear Elegance, all of our products are made from the best materials available. We offer a wide range of blinds, made to measure, including Roman, vertical and roller blinds.
